Maserati Grecale Folgore Review 2025, Price & Specs

The Maserati Grecale Folgore is a powerful SUV with twin motors delivering a combined output of 550bhp, making it the most powerful Grecale model available. Although it may not be as quick as the V6 Grecale Trofeo in a straight line, it still boasts impressive acceleration, reaching 62mph in just 4.1 seconds.

When it comes to handling, the power of the Folgore can sometimes feel overwhelming for the chassis to handle. Accelerating at low speeds can cause the front wheels to struggle for grip, resulting in some torque steer and difficulty maintaining lane position. Despite these challenges, the power delivery is progressive and manageable for the driver.

Maserati has incorporated synthesized engine noise into the Grecale Folgore to enhance the driving experience, staying true to the brand’s commitment to producing vehicles that make a statement. Unlike some other electric vehicles with artificial engine sounds, the Folgore’s noise is subtle and varies in response to driving conditions, adding to the overall ambiance without being overpowering.

One unique feature of the Folgore is the retention of large metal steering-wheel paddles from the petrol versions, which now control regenerative braking rather than shifting gears. The regen braking can be adjusted to provide different levels of deceleration, offering a smooth driving experience whether navigating city streets or cruising at higher speeds. While there is no true one-pedal driving mode, the brake pedal is easy to modulate and provides a good feel for coming to a complete stop.

Overall, the Maserati Grecale Folgore combines power, technology, and luxury in a sleek SUV package. With its impressive performance and thoughtful design features, it offers a unique driving experience for those looking for a high-end electric vehicle option.
