Mazda CX-30 Review 2025, Price & Specs

Car enthusiasts looking for a practical and comfortable ride may find the Mazda CX-30 to be a suitable option. Despite its appearance as a regular five-door hatchback, the CX-30 offers a spacious front row, a decent-sized boot, and back seats that are adequate for children and smaller adults. However, it may not match up to competitors like the Honda Civic, Skoda Octavia, or Nissan Qashqai in terms of interior space.

The interior of the CX-30 exudes a dark and business-like ambiance, with a focus on tactile material quality and ease of use. Unlike many modern cars, the CX-30 retains physical controls for essential functions such as heating, ventilation, audio, and infotainment. This design choice may appeal to those who prefer a more traditional approach to car controls. The analog instruments are clear and easy to read, while the secondary controls feel sturdy and expensive, reminiscent of older Volkswagen models.

In terms of multimedia features, the CX-30’s 10.3-inch screen stands out for its unique rotary commander control on the center console. While some may consider this technology outdated, it allows for easy navigation of the system’s menus without the need to touch the screen. The system may not have as many networked features as some competitors, but it covers all the essential functions and offers remote control options through the MyMazda smartphone app.

Wireless smartphone mirroring for both Apple and Android devices is standard on the CX-30, as is wireless charging. Overall, the CX-30 offers a well-thought-out interior design with a focus on simplicity and ease of use, making it a suitable choice for young families or empty-nesters looking for “just enough car.”
