McLaren Celebrates 30th Anniversary of Le Mans Victory with Special Edition 750S
McLaren has marked the 30th anniversary of its first victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans with a special edition 750S inspired by the iconic F1 GTR.
The standout feature of the 750S Le Mans is a new aerodynamic package developed by McLaren Special Operations (MSO). This package includes a larger carbonfibre splitter, an enhanced active rear spoiler, and a new body-colored panel under the spoiler, resulting in a 10% increase in downforce compared to the standard 750S.
In addition to the aerodynamic enhancements, the 750S Le Mans also boasts a roof scoop, five-spoke wheels, and a choice of Le Mans Grey or McLaren Orange paint finishes. The Le Mans Grey option pays homage to the No59 F1 GTR that achieved victory in 1995.
Inside the supercar, black Alcantara and leather upholstery with contrasting grey or McLaren Orange accents create a luxurious and sporty ambiance. The Le Mans branding on the headrests and floor mats, along with a commemorative plaque on the center console, further emphasize the special edition’s connection to the historic Le Mans victory.
For enthusiasts seeking an extra touch of exclusivity, a track record plaque detailing the Le Mans success can be added to the front boot as an optional feature. Only 50 units of the 750S Le Mans will be produced, with pricing expected to command a premium over the standard 750S’s £252,650 price tag.
Looking ahead, McLaren plans to continue its pursuit of Le Mans glory. In 2025, two previous-generation 720S supercars will compete in the GT3 class at Le Mans. Then, in 2027, McLaren will make its debut in the top class of sports car racing, aiming for overall victory at the prestigious Le Mans 24 Hours.
