Mercedes is set to launch a new ultra-luxury van that is more than just a people mover. Known as the Vision V, this vehicle is being touted as “the pinnacle of luxurious and elegant multipurpose vehicles (MPVs)” by Mercedes. The global grand tour of this ultra-luxury electric van has kicked off, giving us a closer look at what Mercedes has in store for next year.

While Mercedes is already renowned for its luxury vans, the company is gearing up for a new era starting in 2026. In 2023, Mercedes introduced a new platform called VAN.EA, which will serve as the foundation for a new range of electric vans. This modular platform will give rise to exclusive VIP and high-end limousines, luxury family vehicles, and even camper vans.

Earlier this year, Mercedes unveiled the Vision V concept, offering a glimpse of its upcoming ultra-luxury van. The concept features a futuristic design with short overhangs and a sleek silhouette, giving us an idea of what to expect from Mercedes’ future MPVs.

The interior of the Vision V boasts a first-class “Private Lounge” setup with a retractable 65″ cinema screen that rises automatically from beneath the floor. The vehicle is equipped with a Dolby Atmos surround sound system featuring 42 speakers, some of which are built into the seats. Additionally, seven projectors are included to create a 360-degree immersive experience, with the audio system and ambient lighting adjusting to the music’s rhythm.

The ultra-luxury van also doubles as a gaming hub, allowing passengers to virtually drive a car while on the road. It offers interactive shopping experiences, a relaxing mode that fully reclines the seats, and even a Karaoke feature for entertainment.

Following its debut in Shanghai, the Mercedes Vision V has now embarked on a global grand tour, with its first stop in Dubai. While the production model may not mirror the concept exactly, Mercedes is expected to unveil the finalized version in 2026. Pricing and specifications will be disclosed closer to the launch date, but one thing is for sure – this ultra-luxury van won’t come cheap. Stay tuned for more updates on this luxurious and innovative vehicle from Mercedes-Benz.
