Neta Auto, a Chinese electric vehicle (EV) maker, has recently kicked off pre-sales of its Neta Aya and Neta X models in Brazil. The company is also gearing up to open more than 10 stores in the country by the first quarter of 2025.
Neta’s Brazilian subsidiary has already established five mall display locations in Brazil, mostly concentrated in São Paulo and Rio Grande do Sul. The company plans to expand its local presence by adding two more mall display sites this month and three additional ones in December.
Moreover, Neta has conducted its first local dealer conference in Brazil, with representatives from 15 dealer groups in attendance. The company is optimistic about its expansion plans in the country, aiming to have over 10 stores operational by early 2025 to support large-scale deliveries.
While Neta is facing operational challenges in its domestic market, it is pushing ahead with its internationalization efforts. Reports suggest that the company has initiated significant layoffs, with a focus on restructuring its organizational and operational efficiency to reduce operating expenses and increase cash flow.
To support its overseas market expansion, Neta has secured supply chain financial support from a commercial entity of the Nanning municipal government of Guangxi. This support will aid in raw material procurement, production, logistics, and exports.
In addition to its presence in Brazil, Neta has also opened a new dealership in Indonesia and plans to establish more than 20 dealerships in the country within the year. The company is also gearing up for its participation in the upcoming auto show in Thailand, where it will unveil its latest model, the Neta S shooting brake, and showcase its Super EREV technology.
Neta’s efforts to expand its presence globally indicate a strategic shift towards sustainable growth and market diversification. With a focus on optimizing operations and enhancing efficiency, the company is poised to strengthen its position in the competitive EV market.
