Porsche Unveils New Taycan GTS: A Powerful All-Rounder Electric Performance Car

Porsche has recently revealed the new Taycan GTS, an upgraded version of the electric performance car that promises to offer a thrilling driving experience. With a maximum power output of 690bhp (with Launch Control function), the new GTS boasts an increase of 100bhp compared to its predecessor. This boost in power is attributed to a new rear motor that delivers an additional 107bhp and 30lb ft of torque while being lighter by 10kg.

Thanks to these enhancements, the GTS can now accelerate from 0-62mph in just 3.3 seconds, reducing the sprint time by 0.4 seconds. The car is equipped with a 97kWh (usable) battery pack, providing an impressive range of 390 miles on a single charge, which is a significant improvement of 74 miles compared to the previous model.

The GTS comes with a specific suspension setup that offers a sporty edge to the driving experience. While rear-wheel steering and the Active Ride system are optional extras, they can further enhance the agility and performance of the vehicle. Visually, the GTS features a ‘Sport’ front end similar to the base model and the 4S, with contrasting high-gloss black air inlets and exclusive Anthracite Grey wheels available in either 20-inch or 21-inch sizes.

Inside the cabin, the GTS is equipped with 18-way adjustable bucket seats upholstered in Race-Tex fabric, providing both comfort and style. Customers can opt for the multi-function steering wheel from the range-topping Taycan Turbo GT for added luxury. Additionally, the GTS offers a unique acceleration and deceleration soundtrack that complements the exhilarating character of the car.

With a starting price of £117,500 for the saloon and £118,300 for the Sport Turismo estate, the new Taycan GTS sits between the 4S model and the Turbo variant in terms of performance and pricing. UK deliveries are expected to commence early next year, offering enthusiasts the opportunity to experience the thrill of driving the latest electric performance car from Porsche.
