Skoda is set to introduce the hot vRS version of the new Skoda Elroq in the UK this summer, with a starting price of £46,560. This high-performance variant of the Elroq boasts a 52bhp power increase to 335bhp, thanks to the same dual-motor powertrain found in the Volkswagen ID 4 GTX. This power boost enables the vRS to accelerate from 0-62mph in just 5.4 seconds, making it 1.2 seconds quicker than the standard electric car.
The vRS also comes with a slightly stiffened chassis, a sharper steering setup, and lowered suspension for a sportier driving experience. Additionally, more powerful front brakes have been added to enhance performance. Visually, the vRS stands out with new roof rails, black accents, and 21-inch alloy wheels. Its external sounds, dubbed ‘Sport’ and ‘Futuristic’, add to its dynamic appeal.
As the range-topping model in the Elroq lineup, the vRS comes equipped with a higher level of standard features. These include Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) adjustable suspension, LED matrix headlights, heated front seats, a 12-speaker sound system, and an electric tailgate. The 5-inch digital cockpit and 13-inch infotainment display feature vRS-specific graphics for a unique touch.
Despite sharing the same 84kWh battery pack as the Elroq 85, the vRS has a slightly shorter range of 339 miles due to its sportier nature. However, the battery pack can be charged at speeds of up to 185kW for quick top-ups. Overall, the Skoda Elroq vRS promises an exhilarating driving experience with a blend of performance and technology for electric car enthusiasts.
