The New Skoda Enyaq vRS Unveiled with Radical Look and Faster Charging Speeds
The latest version of the Skoda Enyaq vRS has been revealed, showcasing a bold new design and improved charging capabilities. The electric SUV maintains its dual-motor, four-wheel-drive configuration, producing a combined output of 335bhp and 402lb ft of torque. This results in a swift 0-62mph acceleration time of 5.4 seconds.
To complement the enhanced performance, the Enyaq vRS features upgraded brakes with two-pot calipers at the front and comes equipped with Skoda’s Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) adjustable suspension as standard. This setup lowers the front end of the vehicle by 15mm and the rear end by 10mm compared to the standard Enyaq model.
Utilizing the same 79kWh battery pack as its predecessor, the new Enyaq vRS offers a range of 340 miles. However, the maximum charging rate has been boosted from 175kW to 185kW, allowing for a rapid 10-80% recharge in just 26 minutes on a compatible fast charger.
Visually, the Enyaq vRS boasts updates such as a redesigned front bumper with a more pronounced chin, a selection of 20-inch or 21-inch alloy wheels, and the option of striking Hyper Green paintwork. Inside the cabin, the SUV features a heated steering wheel wrapped in perforated leather, bolstered sports seats, and a 13-inch infotainment touchscreen.
Pricing for the Enyaq vRS SUV starts at £51,660, while the Coupé variant begins at £53,560. In comparison, the smaller Elroq vRS crossover, which shares the same powertrain and battery but offers slightly less range, is priced at £46,560.
