Skoda Unveils Powerful vRS Version of New Kodiaq SUV
Skoda has recently revealed the hot vRS version of its new Kodiaq SUV, which boasts impressive power and a sporty new design. The vRS model is equipped with the same turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine found in the Volkswagen Golf GTI and Tiguan R-Line, producing 262bhp and 295lb ft of torque. Paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, this powerhouse can accelerate from 0-62mph in just 6.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 144mph.
One of the standout features of the vRS is its enhanced braking system, which includes slotted brake discs and more powerful two-pot calipers on the front axle. Additionally, the SUV comes standard with VW’s Dynamic Chassis Control Plus adaptive suspension system, offering 15 drive settings and active damper adjustment for a customizable driving experience.
Visually, the vRS stands out from the standard Kodiaq with its more aggressive bumpers, larger grille segments, 20-inch ‘Elias’ alloy wheels, and black badging. Inside the cabin, the SUV boasts a 13-inch infotainment touchscreen and thickly bolstered seats. The standard Lounge interior features a combination of microsuede and artificial leather upholstery, while the optional Suite option adds ventilation for added comfort.
Customers can expect deliveries of the Skoda Kodiaq vRS to begin in April. While pricing has not yet been announced, it is estimated to start around £50,000.
