Nio Jun deliveries breakdown: ET5 Touring 5,103, ES6 4,415

Nio, a leading Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer, reported some interesting trends in its delivery breakdown for the month of June. The data revealed that the ET5 Touring wagon outperformed the ES6 SUV, marking the first time since the ET5 Touring’s debut in June 2023 that its monthly deliveries surpassed those of the ES6.

In June, the ET5 Touring delivered 5,103 units, exceeding the ES6’s 4,415 units to become the top-selling Nio model for the month. This shift in consumer preference suggests a quiet evolution in Chinese market dynamics.

The ET5 Touring, which was launched on June 15, 2023, targets the niche station wagon segment in China. In contrast, the ES6 caters to the more popular traditional SUV market and has been Nio’s best-selling model in recent years.

Nio also introduced updated versions of the ES6, EC6 coupe SUV, ET5 Touring, and ET5 sedan in May, all with significant enhancements but unchanged pricing. The lineup also includes the ES8 SUV, ET9 sedan, ET7 sedan, EC7 coupe SUV, and ES7 SUV.

Among the other models, the EC6 delivered 1,932 units in June, contributing 7.75 percent to Nio’s total monthly deliveries. The ET5 delivered 1,642 units, while the ES8 saw a substantial increase in deliveries compared to May.

The highly anticipated third-generation ES8 is set to debut at Nio Day 2025 this fall, as confirmed by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The executive flagship sedan, the ET9, delivered 307 units in June, accumulating a total of 1,888 units since its launch in late March.

Additionally, the ET7 delivered 271 units, the EC7 delivered 84 units, and the ES7 had no deliveries in June. Nio reported a total of 24,925 vehicle deliveries in June, with contributions from the Nio main brand, Onvo brand, and Firefly brand.

Looking ahead, Nio’s third factory is scheduled to commence production in September, supporting the upcoming release of the Onvo L90. These developments reflect Nio’s commitment to expanding its product offerings and meeting the evolving needs of the Chinese market.
