Meet ONVO: NIO’s New Sub-Brand and Their First SUV, the L60

Recently, on May 15, NIO made a significant announcement by launching its new sub-brand, ONVO. Alongside this brand unveiling, ONVO introduced its first-ever SUV, the L60. With a pre-sale price set at 219,900 RMB and deliveries expected to start in September, the L60 is set to make waves in the automotive industry.

Exterior Design: A Fusion of Style and Functionality

Raul Pires, a former Bentley designer, lent his expertise to craft the exterior design of the ONVO L60. The vehicle embodies the “WAY UP” design concept, exuding refinement and family-friendliness. With elements like an enclosed front grille, trapezoidal air intake, and C-shaped air ducts, the L60 makes a bold statement. The split headlights and raised lines on the hood add to its muscular stance.

Sporty Silhouette and Aerodynamic Efficiency

The L60’s design features a short overhang, coupe-style roofline, and flared wheel arches, enhancing its sporty appeal. With a drag coefficient of Cd 0.229, the L60 boasts impressive aerodynamic efficiency. The vehicle’s dimensions and wheelbase position it as a mid-size SUV.

Sensual Rear End and Practical Tailgate

The L60’s rear end features an upward-turned ducktail spoiler and unique tail lights, adding to its appeal. The hatchback tailgate offers practicality for loading and unloading cargo, catering to the needs of a family of five.

Responsive Handling and Intelligent Driving Capabilities

The L60 boasts a MacPherson strut front suspension, a five-link rear independent suspension, and advanced intelligent driving features. With a range of safety technologies, the L60 ensures the protection of both occupants and the battery.

Immersive Interior and Advanced Technology

The L60’s interior offers a comfortable and tech-savvy space, with a large central control screen, ambient lighting, and a head-up display. The car is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to enhance the overall driving experience.

Power

The ONVO L60 is powered by NIO’s third-generation technology platform NT3.0 and offers a battery swapping network shared with NIO. With various battery options for different travel needs, the L60 ensures a seamless and efficient power delivery.
