NIO, a leading electric vehicle manufacturer, has recently introduced its first electric vehicle under the Firefly brand. The Firefly is a small pure electric vehicle available in two trim levels, with prices ranging from RMB 119,800 to RMB 125,800.

The exterior design of the Firefly adopts a biomimicry approach, with a unique trio headlight design on each side and a central capsule-shaped light strip across the front. The vehicle also features a spacious 92-liter front trunk with layered storage and drainage function.

On the side, the Firefly showcases a compact and dynamic silhouette with a two-tone body and striking taillight design. Dimensionally, it measures 4003mm in length, 1781mm in width, and 1557mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2615mm.

Inside, the Firefly boasts a modern interior with a dual-spoke, flat-bottom multi-function steering wheel, a 13.2-inch floating central touchscreen, and a 6-inch full LCD instrument panel. The vehicle also offers 256-color ambient lighting, a 14-speaker 7.1 Dolby Atmos sound system, and a unique Forest Morning wood-toned fragrance.

In terms of interior space, the Firefly features a barrier-free, walk-through design between the driver and front passenger seats, providing easy entry and exit. The vehicle offers 27 storage compartments, including a hidden storage space of over 29 liters beneath the right rear seat.

Powering the Firefly is a single rear motor with a maximum power output of 105 kW, achieving a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 8.2 seconds and a top speed of 150 km/h. The vehicle is equipped with a 42.1 kWh battery pack, offering a CLTC pure electric range of 420 kilometers.

The Firefly will be compatible with NIO’s battery swapping network in the future and features an adaptive energy recovery system for smoother following and Comfort Stop Technology for evenly controlled braking force.
