Onvo, a sub-brand of Nio, recently unveiled the range information for its flagship SUV, the L90. This SUV comes equipped with a standard battery pack boasting an 85 kWh capacity, offering a CLTC range of 570 to 605 kilometers. The rear-wheel drive version of the L90 can achieve a CLTC range of 605 kilometers, consuming 14.5 kWh per 100 kilometers, while the four-wheel drive version has a range of 570 kilometers and consumes 15.4 kWh per 100 kilometers.

Onvo has incorporated a 900-volt high-voltage architecture and lightweight technologies into the L90, resulting in a vehicle with a very low drag coefficient for its class. The company attributes the impressive energy performance of the L90 to Nio Inc’s decade of technology accumulation and the availability of over 2,000 battery swap stations for Onvo customers.

Additionally, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in China released a catalog of vehicle models eligible for tax reductions and exemptions, revealing that Onvo has filed battery packs with capacities of 60.6 kWh and 85.1 kWh for the L90. This catalog also indicates that the L90 has a CLTC range options varying from 425 km to 570 km.

The L60 SUV, Onvo’s first model, features a standard 60 kWh battery pack with an option for owners to upgrade to an 85 kWh capacity battery pack for extended range. Onvo president Shen Fei confirmed that the L90 will come standard with the 85 kWh battery pack, offering customers the flexibility to downgrade to the smaller 60 kWh pack and receive a subsidy.

At the 2025 Shanghai auto show, Onvo showcased the L90, highlighting its highly integrated components that provide ample storage space. The SUV measures 5,145 mm in length, 1,998 mm in width, and 1,786 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,110 mm. It can accommodate seven standard 20-inch suitcases in the trunk when seating six passengers, along with additional storage in the frunk.

The official launch date for the Onvo L90 is yet to be determined, but Nio’s founder, chairman, and CEO William Li announced that the L80, Onvo’s third model, will be introduced in the fourth quarter. With a focus on innovation and energy efficiency, Onvo continues to push the boundaries of electric vehicle technology with its impressive lineup of SUVs.
