Onvo’s L60 Model Exceeds Expectations with Over 7,000 Deliveries
On November 14, Alan Ai, president of Nio’s sub-brand Onvo, announced that the orders for the Onvo L60 model have far exceeded expectations, with over 7,000 units already delivered. This impressive performance has led to production orders being lined up for the first quarter of next year.
The launch of the L60 model back in September has been a resounding success, with deliveries starting on September 28. The model’s production capacity is expected to reach 5,000 units in October and 10,000 units in December. By January 2025, the capacity is projected to increase to at least 16,000 units and 20,000 units in March.
Despite a slight decrease in insurance registrations in China, the Onvo L60 continues to attract customers, with a total of 6,320 units registered since the end of September. Of these customers, 90% are adding a new vehicle to their family or replacing an existing one. Interestingly, a significant portion of these customers are Tesla Model 3 owners, with 30% coming from German luxury brands BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Audi.
One of the key advantages of the Onvo L60 is its access to battery swap stations. Ai mentioned that the number of battery swap stations available to Onvo will exceed 1,000 by the end of this year and is set to reach 2,000 by April 2025. Currently, there are 659 Nio battery swap stations available to Onvo.
Onvo’s participation in the 2024 Guangzhou auto show marks its debut at a major auto show in China. This move reflects the brand’s commitment to showcasing its innovative models and engaging with a wider audience.
In conclusion, the Onvo L60 has set a new benchmark in the electric vehicle market, with its impressive performance and growing popularity among customers. With ambitious delivery targets set for the coming months, Onvo is poised to make a significant impact in the industry.
