Nissan Achieves Strong Sales in China in 2024
Nissan Motor recently revealed its impressive sales figures for December 2024 in China, showcasing a total sales volume of 74,918 vehicles across its passenger and light commercial vehicle segments. This success contributed to the automaker’s cumulative sales of 696,631 vehicles for the entire year.
Dongfeng Nissan, encompassing the Nissan, Venucia, and INFINITI brands, reported sales of 70,342 vehicles in December. The Nissan brand alone achieved monthly sales of 66,337 vehicles, marking a significant 20.5% increase from the previous month. Throughout 2024, Nissan brand’s annual sales amounted to 605,205 units, solidifying its position in the Chinese market with over 16 million vehicles sold since its inception.
Sedan sales for Dongfeng Nissan reached 48,391 units in December, indicating a 19.3% growth compared to the previous month. The Sylphy series contributed significantly to this performance with sales of 37,272 units in December, resulting in annual sales of 342,395 units.
Moreover, Dongfeng Nissan’s SUV segment experienced a surge in sales, totaling 17,946 units in December, a notable 23.8% increase from the previous month. The Qashqai lineup, in particular, recorded sales of 11,882 units in December, marking the series’ second consecutive month with sales exceeding 10,000 units. Throughout 2024, the Qashqai lineup achieved a total sales volume of 112,000 units.
In the light commercial vehicle segment, Zhengzhou Nissan reported sales of 4,576 vehicles in December 2024, further bolstering Nissan’s overall performance in the Chinese market.
