The prestigious Car Design Award, now in its 41st year, is set to announce the winners for 2025 on Tuesday, 8th April at the ADI Design Museum in Milan. This award, organized by Auto&Design magazine, recognizes outstanding production and concept car designs, as well as exceptional brand design languages.
The finalists for the 2025 edition have been revealed, with contenders in three categories: Production Cars, Concept Cars, and Brand Design Language. The judges have selected ten projects each for the Production Cars and Concept Cars categories, showcasing designs presented between 1st January and 31st December 2024. Additionally, five brands have been recognized for their exceptional design language across their product range.
In the Production Cars category, notable finalists include the Alfa Romeo Junior, Ferrari 12Cilindri, Fiat Grande Panda, and the Renault 5, which was voted the Car of the Year for 2025.
Among the Concept Cars finalists is the Italdesign Quintessenza and the Jaguar Type 00, marking a significant shift for the British marque towards a more luxurious future.
The international jury responsible for selecting the winners of the Car Design Award 2025 comprises esteemed journalists from automotive and design magazines worldwide. From Brazil to China, South Korea to Europe, and beyond, these experts will evaluate and determine the most deserving designs for this year’s award.
