Analogue Automotive Supersport: A Restomod Worth Remembering
When I first laid eyes on the Analogue Automotive Supersport at this year’s ‘Handling Day’ contest at Cadwell Park, I was hesitant to give it a try. As a fan of the original S1 Lotus Elise, I was worried that this £100,000 restomod version might not live up to its predecessor.
However, my initial reservations were quickly proven wrong. While the unfettled S1 Elise remains a standout on the road, the Supersport is a whole new level of driving experience, especially on a race track.
The Supersport is a masterpiece of engineering, offering a direct and raw driving experience that is both exhilarating and effortless. It feels like an extension of yourself, with plenty of grip without sacrificing agility.
One of the standout features of the Supersport is its overhauled K-series engine, which delivers a whopping 210bhp at 7250rpm. This powertrain transforms the driving dynamics of the car, making it a true monster on the road.
Analogue has truly outdone themselves with the S1 restmod. While it may not be the most obvious choice on paper, the driving experience it offers is unparalleled and unforgettable.
