Philipp von Witzendorff has served as President and CEO of Porsche Japan since July 2022. Prior to this role, he held several prominent positions in the automotive industry. From 2019 to 2022, he acted as President and CEO of Porsche Retail Hamburg, and beginning in 2020, he oversaw Porsche Retail operations in Berlin, Leipzig, and Stuttgart.

Before joining Porsche, Philipp von Witzendorff served as Vice President of Sales for Mercedes-Benz Canada and as Vice President of Sales and COO of Quantum Automotive Group in Canada. His career also includes senior roles at Daimler AG, where he managed aftersales operations across regions including China, the United States, and Germany.

Porsche recently announced another significant personnel change related to its business in the Chinese market. Earlier this month, the automaker published the appointment of Mr. Li Nan as Vice President of the Technology Division at Porsche China, underscoring its “In China, For China” development philosophy. As a native of China, Mr. Li will spearhead the integration of innovative and competitive technologies into Porsche vehicles.

In addition, Porsche revealed the establishment of a dedicated technology division within Porsche China to oversee the company’s local R&D efforts, reporting directly to Porsche China CEO. This strategic move aims to align Porsche’s products and services more closely with the needs of Chinese customers.
