The Hongqi Guoya made its debut at the Paris Motor Show on October 14, following its initial unveiling at the Beijing Auto Show earlier this year. While it is not yet confirmed if the car will be available for sale in Europe, the production version showcased in Paris closely resembles the design language of the Hongqi brand.
The exterior of the Hongqi Guoya features prominent chrome accents, rounded elements, and a large grille that exudes elegance and sophistication. The design incorporates sunflower-like multi-spoke wheels, a distinctive C-pillar that extends to the trunk, and rear light clusters inspired by Chinese lanterns. The overall aesthetic is in line with the L-concept design language and showcases the luxurious and premium appeal of the Sunflower Hongqi series.
Equipped with digital light processing (DLP) technology, the headlights of the Hongqi Guoya ensure optimal visibility on the road. The dimensions of the sedan measure 5353mm in length, 1998mm in width, and 1511mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3260mm, making it a spacious and imposing vehicle. Buyers can choose between 19 or 20-inch wheels to customize their driving experience.
Inside the Hongqi Guoya, the interior is adorned with leather, grained wood, and chrome accents, creating a luxurious and comfortable environment. The car features a large digital instrument screen, a low-mounted infotainment screen, and a steering wheel adorned with Hongqi’s sunflower symbol. Available in both four- and five-seat configurations, the sedan offers advanced features such as an augmented reality head-up display and voice and gesture control for various functions.
Under the hood, the Hongqi Guoya offers two hybrid powertrain options. The lower-powered variant is equipped with a CA6GV30TD-30 engine delivering up to 290kW, while the flagship model boasts a CA8GV40TD-01 engine producing 360kW. Both models utilize NCM batteries to power the hybrid system, offering a blend of performance and efficiency.
While pricing details have not yet been released, sales of the Hongqi Guoya are expected to commence in the first half of 2025. With its sophisticated design, luxurious interior, and advanced hybrid powertrain options, the Hongqi Guoya sets a new standard for elegance and innovation in the automotive industry.
