Lewis Hamilton, the seven-time Formula 1 world champion, has made it his mission to use his platform to speak out against racism and inequality. This has become his main motivation to continue in the sport, as he believes there is still much work to be done in promoting diversity and inclusivity.

Hamilton acknowledges the challenges ahead, stating, “There are still teams that have not been held accountable, still people who refuse to believe it’s not a problem. You have leaders past and present who come out and say it isn’t an issue, so it’s an ongoing fight that is not going to be won in a really short space of time.”

Despite the obstacles, Hamilton remains committed to the cause, actively participating in discussions and initiatives aimed at promoting diversity within his team, Mercedes, and the sport as a whole. He is grateful for the opportunity to do what he loves while also making a difference in the world.

Regarding his racing career, Hamilton humbly admits that he is not focused on his numerous records and statistics, except for his seven world championships. With 100 pole positions, 98 wins, 169 podiums, 55 fastest laps, and 3879 career points to his name, Hamilton is undeniably one of the greatest drivers in Formula 1 history.

Despite his success on the track, Hamilton remains humble and dedicated to his cause off it. He continues to push for change and inspire others to do the same, making a lasting impact on the sport and society as a whole.
