The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) recently released a catalog of approved models for public comment, which includes the BYD Tang L. This step marks the final regulatory process for a vehicle to be sold in China, allowing the public to provide feedback between January 11-17.
The Tang L is available in three Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) versions, with model numbers BYD6500AJBEV4, BYD6500AJBEV5, and BYD6500AJBEV6. Additionally, there are five Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) versions, with model numbers BYD6500AJHEV1 through BYD6500AJHEV5.
The BEV version with model number BYD6500AJBEV4 features the same dual-motor powertrain as the Han L, offering 230 kW peak power from the front motor and an impressive 580 kW peak power from the rear motor.
