Xpeng (NYSE: XPEV) has recently filed regulatory documents for its upcoming next-generation P7 sedan, revealing key specifications for the highly anticipated model. The new P7 is set to offer both single- and dual-motor options, providing consumers with a variety of choices to suit their preferences.

According to the regulatory filing, the new P7 will measure 5,017 mm in length and is expected to be priced around 300,000 yuan ($41,760). This price point positions the new P7 as a competitive option in the electric vehicle market, offering a blend of performance and affordability for potential buyers.

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) in China has included the new P7 in its latest regulatory catalog, opening up a window for public feedback between May 24-30. This step is crucial in the approval process for the model to be sold in China, signaling the final stages before the official launch.

The new P7 will be available in three different model numbers: NHQ7002BEVEA, NHQ7002BEVEB, and NHQ7002BEVEC. These models are all battery electric vehicles (BEV) and will be manufactured at Xpeng’s plant in Guangzhou, the company’s headquarters.

With a sleek design and modern features, the new P7 promises a comfortable driving experience for passengers. The sedan boasts a length of 5,017 mm, a width of 1,970 mm, and a height of 1,427 mm, with a wheelbase of 3,008 mm. These dimensions make the new P7 a spacious and versatile option for consumers looking for a stylish electric vehicle.

The new P7 will be powered by lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries from Eve Energy, as well as LFP batteries and Li-ion ternary batteries from CALB. This battery technology is designed to provide enhanced performance and efficiency, ensuring a smooth and reliable driving experience for users.

Xpeng has confirmed that the new P7, internally known as the E29, will be launched in China in July-August. The model is set to replace the current P7i sedan and will be priced competitively at around 300,000 yuan. With a focus on global markets, Xpeng aims to expand the availability of the new P7 based on demand in different regions.

Built on the E platform shared with the G9 SUV, the new P7 will offer advanced driving features without the need for LiDAR technology. This includes assisted driving capabilities on city roads and highways, providing a seamless and convenient driving experience for users.

Overall, the new P7 represents a significant upgrade for Xpeng’s sedan lineup, offering a blend of performance, technology, and affordability for consumers. With its sleek design, advanced features, and competitive pricing, the new P7 is poised to make a strong impact in the electric vehicle market.
