Geely Galaxy is set to introduce a new hybrid sedan, the A7, as part of its expanding product lineup. The A7 model is making waves after spy shots last week hinted at an impressive range of up to 2,100 kilometers. This new addition to the Geely Auto sub-brand has been included in China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) regulatory catalog for public feedback.

The public can provide comments on the A7 model between May 24-30, marking the final regulatory step before the model can be officially sold in China. The catalog lists three variations of the A7 model, namely MR7151DCHEV101, MR7151DCHEV102, and MR7151DCHEV109. These plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) models are manufactured at a Geely production site in Guiyang, Guizhou.

The A7 sedan boasts a sleek design, measuring 4,918 mm in length, 1,905 mm in width, and 1,495 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,845 mm. It is available in two versions based on curb weight, 1,599 kg and 1,735 kg, and can reach a top speed of 190 km/h. The A7 is equipped with an engine featuring a displacement of 1,499 ml and a power output of 82 kW.

Furthermore, the A7 model comes with lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries sourced from reputable suppliers such as CALB and CATL. This new sedan is expected to complement the existing sedan lineup of the Geely Galaxy brand, which includes the hybrid Starshine 8 and L6, as well as the all-electric E8.

The buzz around the A7 escalated with leaked spy shots revealing its impressive range and fuel efficiency. The model is rumored to offer a range of up to 2,100 kilometers and consume less than 3 liters per 100 kilometers on low charge. Geely Galaxy has been on a roll lately, with the brand surpassing one million units in cumulative sales and introducing new models like the M9 hybrid SUV.

In recent months, Geely Galaxy has been actively expanding its product portfolio, with the launch of the Starshine 8 hybrid sedan receiving an overwhelming response. The Starshine 8 garnered over 10,000 firm orders within six days of its launch, signaling a strong market demand for Geely’s innovative vehicles.

With its commitment to innovation and sustainability, Geely Galaxy continues to push boundaries in the automotive industry, offering cutting-edge hybrid and electric vehicles that cater to the evolving needs of consumers. Stay tuned for more updates on the Geely Galaxy A7 and other exciting developments from this forward-thinking brand.
