Renault-backed van start-up reveals new logo

Flexis, the electric van joint venture backed by Renault, Volvo Trucks, and French logistics firm CMA CGM, has unveiled its new logo. The logo features an angled ‘F’ resembling a building plan, symbolizing the company’s dedication to “city-positive logistics.” This new symbol is prominently displayed on the startup’s three vans, replacing the previous wordmark on their front fascias.

The company has also announced that it will be revealing the names and new features of the vans later this year. These vans are part of a €350 million model-range development plan and are built on a shared platform. The platform, designed in a skateboard-style, aims to minimize the height of the loading floor, maximize interior layout flexibility, and enable long driving ranges.

The flagship model in the range is the Step-in Van, which is a rebranded version of the new Renault Estafette. This van features a traditional short-wheelbase body style with sliding doors at the front and a shutter door at the rear, making it the first of its kind available in Europe. As previously detailed by Renault, the Step-in Van will have the footprint of the Renault Kangoo but with the taller roofline of the Renault Trafic from the segment above.

Another model in the lineup is the Panel Van, which is said to be more versatile in urban settings with a height of 1.9m, allowing it to access underground car parks and garages. The range is completed by the Cargo Van, designed for last-mile deliveries and offering various body styles, widths, and load beds.

Flexis’ commitment to sustainable and efficient urban logistics is evident in its innovative van lineup. Stay tuned for more updates on the names and features of these electric vans as Flexis continues to make strides in the world of eco-friendly transportation.
