Roewe, a well-known automotive brand under SAIC, has officially unveiled its latest offering at the ongoing Auto Shanghai 2025. The Roewe D6 is a compact electric sedan that comes with a price range of RMB 79,800 to RMB 119,800 (~US$10,900 – US$16,400). This new model is available in two range versions: 450km and 520km. Notably, the Roewe D6 has set a Guinness World Record for the “Lowest Energy Consumption for Driving a Mass-Produced Pure Electric Sedan Through the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau” with an energy consumption of 9.125 kWh/100km. Alongside the D6, other models from Roewe are also being showcased at the Shanghai Auto Show.
The Roewe D6 boasts a unique split headlight design, incorporating LED daytime running lights positioned above and the high/low beam units below, giving it a futuristic look. The front of the car features upper and lower parallel grilles, adding to its three-dimensional appearance. The exterior color of the new model is the first to feature SAIC’s exclusive “Canglang” paint. At the rear, the vehicle sports bar-type taillights, an upward-curving “ducktail” spoiler, and a smoked rear bumper, enhancing the rear’s layered design. Dimensionally, the Roewe D6 measures 4792mm in length, 1828mm in width, and 1496mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2750mm.
Moving to the interior, the Roewe D6 is equipped with a full LCD instrument panel and a 12.8-inch central control screen. The steering wheel features a dual-spoke flat-bottom design with multifunction buttons on both sides. The center console includes a row of physical buttons for easy access to frequently used functions, along with a wireless charging pad for mobile phones.
When it comes to seating and space, the Roewe D6 offers mosaic micro-perforated matrix seats made with comfortable and breathable skin-friendly materials, ensuring excellent comfort. The vehicle boasts an interior space utilization rate of 72.8%, with ample legroom and headroom for both front and rear passengers. The double-layer trunk provides a cargo capacity of 560L + 158L.
Under the hood, the Roewe D6 is built on SAIC’s new-generation Nebula pure electric architecture and utilizes CTB (Cell-to-Body) battery integration technology. The single electric motor delivers a maximum power of 95kW. The new model will be available in two versions with a CLTC range of 450km and 520km.
