Rolls-Royce Ghost Review 2025, Price & Specs

The Rolls-Royce Ghost is a luxury vehicle that stands out for its exceptional steering and handling capabilities. Unlike many other luxury cars that struggle with steering precision, the Ghost excels in this area. It may not be the best choice for navigating tight B-road corners, as understeer can be a challenge, but its neutral-to-oversteer balance in quicker corners is quite satisfying. The accurate steering adds to the overall driving experience, making it a car that owners may actually want to drive themselves.

Despite its regal appearance and focus on back-row comfort, the Ghost proves to be quite capable on the road. It handles well on challenging tracks like Millbrook’s Hill Route, showcasing its stability and grip. While body movements are noticeable, the car’s stability and four-wheel drive systems work together to keep it on track. Although understeer remains a threat, the Ghost handles tight corners with impressive neutrality and grip.

The lightweight steering that makes the Ghost easy to maneuver at low speeds can be a bit disconcerting at higher speeds, potentially impacting driver confidence. While Rolls-Royce markets the Ghost as a car for both driving and being driven in, it truly shines in relaxed driving situations rather than aggressive driving scenarios.

In terms of comfort and isolation, the Ghost excels thanks to Rolls-Royce’s meticulous attention to detail. The ‘Architecture of Luxury’ design focuses on minimizing road noise and vibrations, with over 100kg of acoustic damping material used throughout the vehicle. This attention to detail results in an incredibly quiet cabin, even at highway speeds, creating a serene environment for passengers.

The ride quality of the Ghost is comparable to the larger Phantom, with long-wave movements that provide a smooth and comfortable experience. However, there are occasional instances where the secondary ride may transmit road imperfections more than desired.

Overall, the Rolls-Royce Ghost is a luxury vehicle that combines exceptional steering and handling with a focus on comfort and isolation. It may not be the ideal choice for spirited driving, but it excels in providing a serene and luxurious driving experience for those who appreciate the finer things in life.
