Rox Motor delivers record 1,268 cars in Dec

Chinese electric vehicle (EV) startup Rox Motor made headlines yesterday as it announced record-breaking delivery figures for the month of December. The company reported that it had delivered a total of 1,268 vehicles, marking the sixth consecutive month of sequential growth in sales.

Rox Motor, a relatively new player in the EV market, was founded in January 2021 and introduced its first model, the Rox 01, on August 22, 2023. The Rox 01 is an extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) with a starting price of RMB 299,900 ($41,090) in China, positioning it as a competitor to Li Auto’s Li L8.

This recent announcement of delivery figures is a significant milestone for Rox Motor, as it is the first time the company has publicly shared this information. A chart provided by the company shows that monthly deliveries were consistently below 500 from July to October 2024, highlighting the rapid growth in sales over the past few months.

Unlike many local EV manufacturers that primarily focus on the domestic market, Rox Motor appears to have a strong emphasis on expanding into overseas markets. The company revealed on August 30 that it had signed dealer agreements with partners in Qatar, Kuwait, Azerbaijan, the Philippines, and Egypt, initiating the development of sales channels and user service systems in these emerging markets.

On December 13, Rox Motor opened its first store in Central Asia, specifically in Kazakhstan, and introduced the Rox 01 to the local market. Additionally, on December 14, the company inaugurated its first store in Qatar, marking its presence in the Middle East following the establishment of stores in Dubai and Kuwait.

This strategic approach to international expansion aligns with Rox Motor’s vision to establish a global presence and cater to the growing demand for electric vehicles in various regions. With a commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction, Rox Motor is poised to make a significant impact in the EV industry on a global scale.

Overall, Rox Motor’s impressive delivery figures and strategic expansion into overseas markets reflect the company’s dedication to driving innovation and sustainability in the electric vehicle sector. As the demand for electric vehicles continues to rise worldwide, Rox Motor is well-positioned to capitalize on this trend and establish itself as a prominent player in the evolving automotive landscape.
