Skoda has officially launched the sales of its locally produced Kushaq model in Vietnam. The company is capitalizing on synergies with India, where it imports CKD kits for assembly. In addition to the Kushaq, Skoda’s lineup in Vietnam includes the Karoq and Kodiaq SUVs imported from Europe.
Looking ahead, Skoda plans to expand its local production and sales to include the Slavia saloon in the coming months. The pre-series Kushaq vehicles underwent rigorous testing in Vietnam, covering over 330,000 kilometers on various roads and undergoing climate testing in extreme conditions. Since entering the Vietnamese market in September 2023, Skoda has opened 15 dealerships, including a new ‘Experience Centre’ showroom concept in Hanoi.
Skoda has ambitious plans for growth in Vietnam, aiming to reach annual sales of 40,000 units by the early 2030s. The company is set to further expand its network in the country this year to achieve this goal.
