SEAT, a member of the Volkswagen Group, has recently introduced the Style trim for the Leon e-HYBRID, marking a significant step towards enhancing electrification accessibility. This move is part of the brand’s broader strategy to make plug-in hybrid technology more accessible to a wider range of customers.

The SEAT Leon, the brand’s first plug-in hybrid model, is now available in the Style trim for both the five-door and Sportstourer versions. The goal is to attract more customers to the electrified vehicle segment.

The new generation e-HYBRID engine boasts an impressive 204PS (150kW) and 350Nm of torque, thanks to a combination of a 1.5-litre TSI 150PS (110kW) petrol engine, a 115PS (85kW) electric motor, and a 19.7kWh lithium-ion battery. This setup allows for an electric-only range of up to 134km, providing a practical and efficient driving experience.

Charging options for the SEAT Leon e-HYBRID in the Style trim include fast-charging up to 50kW on DC chargers or 11kW at home using an AC wallbox. This flexibility ensures that owners can easily charge their vehicles according to their needs and preferences.

Standard features of the Style trim include ecoLED lights, 17-inch alloy rims, a 10.25-inch digital cockpit, and a 10.4-inch infotainment system with a retro-illuminated slider. These features enhance the overall driving experience and provide a blend of efficiency and excitement that SEAT is known for.

The SEAT Leon e-HYBRID is designed, developed, and produced at SEAT’s Martorell facilities in Barcelona, showcasing the brand’s commitment to innovation and sustainability. SEAT Brand Officer Arantxa Alonso expressed the brand’s dedication to offering an electrified future to more customers through the introduction of the Style trim for the Leon e-HYBRID.

In recent news, Wayne Griffiths resigned as CEO of VW Group’s SEAT and CUPRA brands, with Markus Haupt, SEAT’s executive vice-president of Production & Logistics, taking on the role of interim head until a new CEO is appointed.

Overall, the introduction of the Style trim for the SEAT Leon e-HYBRID represents a significant milestone in the brand’s electrification journey, offering customers a compelling blend of performance, efficiency, and sustainability.
