Chan Park has recently been appointed as the Head of Interior Design at Skoda Auto, bringing with him a wealth of experience from his time working with major automotive brands. As an alumnus of the Royal College of Art, Park is set to leave his mark on the interior design of Skoda’s production and concept vehicles, focusing on a minimalist design approach and enhancing the synergy between driver and vehicle.

His predecessor, Peter Olah, will be transitioning to a new role at Skoda Design, where he will be responsible for the Art Direction – One Design Identity. Oliver Stefani, Head of Skoda Auto Design, expressed his excitement about welcoming Chan Park to the team and highlighted his ‘less is more’ design philosophy that aligns aesthetics and functionality in vehicles. Stefani also commended Peter Olah for his significant contribution to establishing a distinctive design DNA in the interior of Skoda vehicles.

Chan Park’s journey in the automotive industry began at Pininfarina in Italy, followed by a stint at Kia Europe in Germany. He then moved on to Mercedes-Benz AG as a Senior Interior Designer and eventually joined Audi AG as a Senior Designer, where he honed his skills until his recent appointment at Skoda Auto.

Park’s Master’s degree in Vehicle Design from the Royal College of Art in London has equipped him with the necessary knowledge and expertise to excel in his role at Skoda. His career progression and experience with various carmakers make him a valuable addition to the Skoda Design team, and his innovative approach to interior design is expected to leave a lasting impact on the brand.
