Stellantis Group Announces On-Board Assistant with AI Technology

Cars from the Stellantis Group are set to revolutionize the way we interact with our vehicles. Thanks to a groundbreaking partnership with Mistral AI, a company specializing in Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI), Stellantis cars will soon come equipped with an innovative on-board assistant that allows drivers to communicate with their vehicles using voice commands.

The new assistant will provide a range of functionalities, including answering questions about vehicle features, troubleshooting issues, and providing instant directions through natural voice interaction. This cutting-edge technology will be continuously updated and tailored to fit all Stellantis models across the various brands under the Group.

In addition to in-vehicle assistance, Stellantis and Mistral AI are exploring other applications of artificial intelligence to enhance the overall driving experience. These initiatives include:

– BOM Data Intelligence (BOM): An AI tool that simplifies the analysis of complex component databases, helping engineers optimize component selection for maximum efficiency.
– Vehicle feedback data analysis: Automating the processing of data from development fleets to improve product quality and customer satisfaction.
– Club Stellantis virtual assistant: A multilingual chatbot designed to assist employees in purchasing company cars.
– AI-driven anomaly detection: Using edge computing models to detect production errors in real-time, improving quality control and efficiency.

Ned Curic, Chief Engineering & Technology Officer at Stellantis, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership with Mistral AI, emphasizing the potential of AI to drive innovation and improve product development and customer experience.

The integration of AI technology into Stellantis vehicles marks a significant step towards a more connected and intuitive driving experience. As the automotive industry continues to embrace artificial intelligence, Stellantis is at the forefront of leveraging this technology to deliver real benefits to customers.
