Tata Elxsi has collaborated with Minespider, a blockchain-powered traceability solutions provider, to launch MOBIUS+, a platform dedicated to advanced battery lifecycle management.

The platform is designed to meet the growing demand for sustainability, compliance, and performance optimization in the battery industry, covering the entire lifecycle from production to recycling.

By combining advanced data analytics, real-time monitoring, and compliance features, MOBIUS+ offers actionable insights for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and the broader battery ecosystem. These capabilities aim to improve battery performance tracking, maintenance, and sustainability management.

MOBIUS+ will be unveiled globally at the Bharat Mobility Show, where Tata Elxsi and Minespider will showcase the platform’s features, including analytics and compliance tools.

Anil Radhakrishnan, Chief Product Officer at Tata Elxsi, expressed the company’s commitment to driving innovation in sustainable mobility through the collaboration with Minespider. He stated, “With MOBIUS+, we aim to set a new benchmark for battery lifecycle management, providing customers with compliance-ready solutions, advanced tools, and data-driven insights to create a more sustainable and transparent future in mobility.”

The partnership leverages the strengths of both companies, with Minespider contributing its blockchain-based battery passport solution to ensure compliance with global regulations, such as those in the EU and the US. Tata Elxsi leads the development and deployment of MOBIUS+, positioning the platform as a scalable and future-proof solution for global markets, with a specific focus on deployment in India.

The platform features a vendor interface for data management, promoting accuracy and compliance throughout the supply chain. A cloud-based system aggregates data, simplifying access and analysis for OEMs and stakeholders. The analytics tools help companies monitor battery performance, refine design, and optimize lifecycle management in line with international standards.

MOBIUS+ facilitates integration with third-party systems, enabling data exchange within the ecosystem. OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers can customize workflows on the platform, utilizing battery data to create vertical analytics use cases that maximize return on investment.

Nathan Williams, Founder and CEO of Minespider, highlighted the importance of the collaboration with Tata Elxsi in promoting transparency and compliance in the industry. He said, “By embedding battery passports into MOBIUS+, we’re providing a foundation for secure, reliable data that supports global sustainability goals.”

Overall, the launch of MOBIUS+ represents a significant step towards enhancing sustainability, compliance, and performance optimization in the battery industry, setting a new standard for battery lifecycle management.
