Tesla has also launched the revamped Model Y in China, offering two variants known as the “Launch Series” with deliveries set to begin in March. The rear-wheel drive version of the Model Y starts at RMB 263,500, while the long-range all-wheel drive version starts at RMB 303,500.
Customers who order the facelifted Model Y before February 28 can benefit from an extended warranty of an additional 2 years or 40,000 kilometers. Tesla’s factory in Shanghai, which began operations in 2019, produces the locally made Model 3 and Model Y for the Chinese market. The updated Model 3 was officially launched in China on October 19, 2023, with some exterior and configuration changes.
Overall, Tesla continues to expand its presence in the Chinese market with updated models and competitive pricing strategies. The company’s commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction is evident in its continuous efforts to offer enhanced products and services to consumers in China and beyond.
