Tesla has recently launched the regular version of its revamped Model Y crossover in China, with pricing remaining the same as the Launch Series. The Launch Series, which was available for a limited time, ended on February 28. Customers who purchased the Launch Series were able to receive an additional two-year or 40,000-kilometer extended warranty, which is no longer available now that the Launch Series has concluded.

The facelifted five-seat Model Y was introduced in China on January 10, with deliveries of the Launch Series starting on February 26. The two variants included a rear-wheel-drive version starting at RMB 263,500 yuan ($36,180) and a long-range all-wheel-drive version starting at RMB 303,500 yuan. The Model Y is one of the models produced at Tesla’s Shanghai factory, alongside the Model 3 electric sedan.

Customers ordering the regular Model Y can expect a wait time of 2-4 weeks for the rear-wheel-drive version and 6-10 weeks for the long-range all-wheel-drive version. In addition to the Model Y, Tesla also offers the Model 3 in China, with an extended RMB 8,000 insurance subsidy and a five-year, 0-interest financing package available until March 31.

Tesla’s other models, such as the Model S sedan and Model X SUV, are sold in China as imports, with delivery times ranging from 3-8 months. Last month, Tesla rolled out a software update to eligible vehicles in China, introducing advanced smart driving features similar to Full Self-Driving capabilities.

Overall, Tesla continues to expand its presence in the Chinese market, offering competitive pricing and incentives to attract customers. The availability of the regular Model Y at the same pricing as the Launch Series ensures that customers have access to the latest upgrades and features in Tesla’s lineup.
