Toyota Unveils the C-HR+ Electric SUV at Kenshiki Conference
At Toyota’s annual Kenshiki conference in Brussels, Europe CEO Yoshihiro Nakata unveiled the highly anticipated C-HR+ electric SUV. Nakata expressed the company’s goal of infusing the passion, emotion, and success of the C-HR model into the electric vehicle segment, ensuring that it shares the same DNA.
Based on the e-TNGA platform, which is also utilized by the bZ4X, the C-HR+ offers two battery options – 57.7kWh and 77.0kWh. With a WLTP range of up to 373 miles, it stands out as one of the longest-range cars in its segment. The vehicle comes standard with an 11kW on-board charger, while high-spec models are equipped with a 22kW unit. Additionally, DC fast charging capabilities peak at 150kW.
The C-HR+ is available in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations, with the 77kWh pack exclusively offering the latter. Power outputs range from 165bhp to 338bhp in dual-motor, all-wheel-drive setup, surpassing the standard 3.0-litre six-pot GR Supra by 3bhp.
With a maximum power output of 338bhp, the C-HR+ stands as one of Toyota’s most powerful vehicles, second only to the limited-production 429bhp GR Supra Final Edition. This makes it a formidable contender in the electric SUV market.
