Toyota Motor Corporation recently unveiled its latest innovation, the bZ7 battery-powered flagship sedan, at the Auto Shanghai 2025 show. The automaker plans to begin production of this executive sedan next year. Measuring 5 meters in length, the bZ7 was developed in collaboration with Guangzhou Automobile Group Company Ltd, Guangzhou Toyota Motor Company, and the Intelligent ElectroMobility R&D Center owned by Toyota China Company Ltd.

Combining Toyota’s renowned safety, reliability, and high-quality manufacturing with China’s advanced technologies, the bZ7 will feature cutting-edge intelligent technologies such as smart cockpits, driver support systems, and advanced safety features. Toyota is committed to commercializing the bZ7 within the next year, showcasing its dedication to innovation and sustainability in the automotive industry.

In addition to the bZ7, Toyota also introduced the next-generation Lexus ES range at Auto Shanghai 2025. This range will offer both battery-powered (BEV) and hybrid-electric vehicle (HEV) models, embodying the new Lexus design inspired by the next-generation BEV concept LF-ZC. The ES range promises to elevate quietness and ride comfort with electrification technology, providing a luxurious and comfortable interior experience for passengers with its spacious rear seat package and latest technologies.

As the automotive industry moves towards electrification and sustainable mobility, Toyota continues to lead the way with its innovative vehicles. The bZ7 and the new Lexus ES range demonstrate Toyota’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of technology and design, setting new standards for eco-friendly and luxurious transportation options.
