Toyota’s New Blue Paint Is Awesome, But It’s Only for a Few Models

Toyota’s TRD Pro line has always been known for offering a wide range of unique and eye-catching color options. This year, Toyota is introducing a new color to its TRD Pro lineup: Wave Maker. Developed by Toyota’s Calty Design team, Wave Maker is the eleventh distinctive paint option available for TRD Pro models.

According to Benjamin Jimenez, General Manager of Calty Ann Arbor, Wave Maker was inspired by unexplored areas of adventure, including extreme terrains and even beyond Earth. The color expresses an elemental spirit that evokes images of glacial depths and the excitement of new frontiers.

Wave Maker bears some resemblance to the Heritage Blue color already offered on other Toyota models like the 4Runner and Land Cruiser, but it stands out with a brighter finish and more turquoise undertones. This unique shade is set to make a statement on TRD Pro versions of the 4Runner, Tacoma, Tundra, and Sequoia starting later this year.

While Toyota has not confirmed if Wave Maker will come at an additional cost, it is likely that customers can expect a price increase ranging from $350 to $475. The availability of this new color option will add to the already impressive lineup of TRD Pro colors, including Ice Cap, Magnetic Gray, Midnight Black, and Mudbath.

In addition to Wave Maker, customers can also explore other TRD Pro models and their unique features. For instance, the Tacoma TRD Pro boasts an Easter egg that most owners may never notice, while the new Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro comes with a price tag of $65,395.

With its bold and adventurous spirit, Wave Maker is sure to turn heads and make a statement on the road. Stay tuned for the release of this exciting new color option on Toyota’s TRD Pro models in the near future.
