Used Porsche Panamera 2016-2023 review

The original Porsche Panamera was known for its spacious and comfortable cabin, similar to that of the Porsche Cayenne but with a lower, more driver-focused layout. The second-generation Panamera maintained this familiar feel, with a high-tech twist.

Porsche introduced a digital overhaul to the cabin, adding two 7.0-inch high-resolution displays to the instrument cluster for essential information like speed and car settings. The main attraction, however, was the 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system that dominated the dashboard. This display brought the Panamera into the technology big leagues, offering a wide range of touch-sensitive functions with haptic feedback.

The center console, just as prominent in the rear seats, featured its own infotainment screen and HVAC controls. The overall space in the back seats had improved from the previous model, offering a more comfortable experience for adult passengers. The rear boot remained spacious at 495 liters, with the option to fold down the rear seats for additional storage.

The Porsche Communication Management system received a significant update, now filling a large display with a tile-shaped set of functions on the home screen. New features like proximity sensors, Apple CarPlay, and Porsche Connect added to the system’s usability, although some more gimmicky features like writing on the screen were less practical for everyday use.

Overall, the second-generation Porsche Panamera offered a luxurious, high-tech, and practical driving experience. The cabin redesign, with its digital displays and touch-sensitive controls, added a modern touch to the iconic Porsche design. The Panamera seamlessly integrated technology with performance, making it a standout option in the luxury sedan market.
