V-GREEN, a prominent EV charging station developer, has recently forged partnerships with four key players in the industry to roll out around 63,000 VinFast electric vehicle charging ports in Indonesia by the end of 2025. This ambitious initiative, backed by a projected investment of $300 million, aims to bolster the VinFast EV ecosystem in Southeast Asia, underscoring V-GREEN’s expanding footprint in sustainable mobility.

The collaboration involves V-GREEN joining forces with Chargecore, Chargepoint, Amarta Group, and CVS to collectively invest in EV infrastructure across Indonesia, with a particular focus on key regions such as Jabodatebek, Bandung, Surabaya, and Bali. The project is slated to kick off in May 2025, with the first station expected to be operational by June.

Chargecore is set to make a minimum investment of $30 million in 2025, while Chargepoint, Amarta Group, and CVS will each invest approximately $5.3 million annually. V-GREEN will be responsible for financing 20% of the stations, with the remaining 80% being developed through business cooperation contracts (BCC).

Operating in Indonesia under the BCC model, V-GREEN offers investors attractive terms, including a competitive power purchase rate of Rp750/kWh. Mai Truong Giang, the Managing Director of V-GREEN Indonesia, expressed confidence in the strategic partnerships forged with reputable companies in Indonesia, highlighting the pivotal role they play in the company’s global EV charging network strategy.

The overarching goal for V-GREEN is to establish 50,000 charging stations and 63,000 charging ports nationwide by 2025. As a first step, VinFast owners will have the opportunity to charge their vehicles for free at 1,000 V-GREEN-operated stations starting in May. VinFast has introduced four EV models in Indonesia – VF 3, VF 5, VF 6, and VF e34 – within a year of entering the market, showcasing their commitment to sustainable transportation solutions.

In addition to their infrastructure development efforts, V-GREEN is also inviting nominations for the prestigious Just Auto Excellence Awards, a renowned programme that celebrates innovation, leadership, and impact in the industry. This presents a unique opportunity for industry players to showcase their achievements, highlight advancements, and gain global recognition. Nominations for the Excellence Awards are now open, offering a chance to be recognized among the best in the industry.
