Vauxhall Grandland Electric Review 2024, Price & Specs

The Vauxhall Grandland Electric’s interior is a standout feature of the vehicle, utilizing the extra space from the previous generation effectively. Compared to its Peugeot counterpart, the interior design is more focused on functionality and familiarity rather than chasing style trends.

The dashboard features a simple structure of horizontal lines, complemented by tactile textiles that add a touch of sophistication to the cabin. The center console, while finished in hard plastics, offers a practical layout with physical controls for essential functions like heating. This practical approach is a refreshing change from the common piano black finishes that attract fingerprints.

One of the unique design touches in the Grandland Electric is the ‘Pixel Box’ found in the GS and Ultimate models, which houses a wireless phone charging pad beneath a glass lid. Additionally, some trims offer cooled center console storage cubbies and other tech-savvy features to enhance the driving experience.

In terms of technology, the base Design model comes equipped with two 10-inch screens, while higher-spec models boast a larger 16-inch touchscreen display. The inclusion of configurable buttons, physical air-con controls, wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and over-the-air software updates enhance the overall user experience. While the graphics may not rival luxury brands like Audi and BMW, the new infotainment system is a significant improvement over previous Stellantis setups.

Comfort is a priority in the Grandland Electric, with seats upholstered in 100% recycled material and offering adjustable thigh and lumbar support. The spacious interior provides ample legroom and headroom for passengers, along with convenient amenities like USB-C charging ports in the back.

The generous 550-liter boot capacity rivals that of the Skoda Enyaq and Tesla Model Y, making it a practical choice for carrying cargo. While there is no frunk, the underfloor cable storage in the boot adds a level of convenience for storing charging cables.

Overall, the Vauxhall Grandland Electric offers a well-rounded interior package with a focus on comfort, practicality, and modern technology. Whether you’re looking for a spacious family vehicle or a practical daily driver, the Grandland Electric delivers on all fronts.
