Volume-chasing Polestar 7 will “behave totally like a Polestar”

The highly anticipated Polestar 7 is on the horizon, poised to become the brand’s first mass-market model. Despite its potential for larger sales numbers, the Polestar 7 will maintain its premium status and dynamic performance, staying true to the essence of the Polestar brand.

Manufactured in Europe and targeting the European market, the crossover vehicle is expected to drive a significant increase in sales for the Swedish automaker. While details about the architecture of the Polestar 7 are still under wraps, CEO Michael Lohscheller assures that the new model will embody the authentic Polestar experience in terms of design, driving dynamics, and overall feel.

Lohscheller emphasizes the importance of infusing the Polestar DNA into the 7, ensuring that it stands out as a true representation of the brand’s ethos. Drawing a comparison between the Polestar 3 and the Volvo EX90, Lohscheller highlights how two vehicles sharing a platform can still offer unique driving experiences. The Polestar 7 is expected to follow suit, delivering a distinct dynamic character that aligns with Polestar’s sporting heritage.

One key aspect that will set the Polestar 7 apart is its evolved design language, which will be implemented across all Polestar models. Lohscheller notes that the new design approach, spearheaded by head of design Philipp Römers, will emphasize confidence and performance, without straying too far from the brand’s established styling cues. The goal is to make the Polestar 7 and its siblings, such as the Polestar 2, 3, and 4, easily recognizable yet visually striking.

In line with this new design philosophy, the Polestar 7 will showcase a more dynamic and expressive aesthetic, reflecting its performance capabilities. While the brand aims to move away from a minimalist design approach, it will stay true to its roots, ensuring that each Polestar model maintains a cohesive and identifiable look.

With its promise of premium quality, dynamic performance, and distinctive design, the Polestar 7 is set to make a significant impact in the automotive market. Stay tuned for more updates on this highly anticipated model from Polestar.
