Voyah Automobile, a subsidiary of Dongfeng Motor Group, has recently unveiled its new L3 intelligent architecture called Tian Yuan Zhi Jia. This innovative architecture comprises two subsets: the Qingyun L3 Intelligent Safe Driving Platform and the Kunpeng L3 Intelligent Safe Driving System. The upcoming Voyah FREE model will feature Huawei’s advanced intelligent driving system and HarmonyOS cockpit, addressing the current model’s limitations in the intelligent domain. The collaboration with Huawei will be showcased at the upcoming Shanghai Auto Show.

The high-level intelligent driving package developed by Voyah boasts an impressive activation rate of 94% and has covered over 10.58 million kilometers in intelligent driving mileage. The urban intelligent driving mileage alone has reached 2.44 million kilometers, with some users experiencing up to 2097 kilometers of intelligent driving in a single day. To further enhance its intelligent driving capabilities, the Tian Yuan Zhi Jia architecture has been introduced, focusing on power, intelligence, and safety.

The power aspect of the architecture introduces Voyah’s axial flux motor, delivering a single-motor torque of 680 N·m. The chassis incorporates steer-by-wire and brake-by-wire technologies, with the steer-by-wire system allowing for adjustable steering ratios between 4.5:1 and 15:1. This feature enhances handling feel and enables L3-level autonomous driving on semi-closed roads.

The fully active suspension is a standout feature of the Tian Yuan Zhi Jia architecture, integrating dual-valve continuously variable damping shock absorbers, air springs, an 800V high-voltage electro-hydraulic pump, and an active road preview system. This advanced suspension system can adjust 10 times per second and lift or drop the suspension by 200mm within 0.5 seconds. The system utilizes binocular stereo vision preview cameras to proactively lift all four wheels to clear obstacles up to 15cm high, ensuring stability in various driving conditions.

In terms of intelligent driving, the architecture incorporates a system with 48 sensors, a 1000TOPS computing platform, and an end-to-end visual-language-action multimodal large model developed in collaboration with Huawei. The lidar technology used in the system has over 700 lines, offering a detection range of 300 meters and exceptional detection precision. The computing platform features a dual-chip backup design with a combined computing power exceeding 1000 TOPS, enabling object detection as small as 15 centimeters within a 100-meter range.

The release of the Tian Yuan Zhi Jia architecture will be accompanied by the launch of a full-size large six-seater SUV codenamed “Taishan” later this year. This model will be the first to feature the Tian Yuan Zhi Jia architecture, showcasing the fully active suspension, axial flux motor, and L3-level high-level intelligent driving capabilities.

Overall, the Tian Yuan Zhi Jia architecture represents a significant leap forward in intelligent driving technology, combining cutting-edge features to deliver a seamless driving experience for Voyah vehicles.
