The Maextro S800, a luxury electric vehicle from Chinese brand Maextro, has officially hit the market with a starting price of $97,500 in China. This ultra-luxe EV is set to rival the likes of the Mercedes-Maybach EQS and Rolls-Royce Spectre in the high-end electric car segment.

With up to 852 horsepower and a state-of-the-art technology stack developed by Huawei, the Maextro S800 offers a bespoke platform that sets it apart from other models in the Huawei lineup. This exclusivity may appeal to buyers in China’s lower-priced market who are looking for a premium driving experience.

The S800 comes with a choice of EREV or pure battery electric powertrains, delivering between 480 and 852 all-electric horsepower. It features 32 ADAS sensors, including radar and lidar, along with a suite of cameras that analyze the road ahead. Huawei’s ADS road perception system adjusts torque distribution, suspension settings, and steering to provide a tech-driven chauffeur experience.

In addition to its performance capabilities, the Maextro S800 offers a luxurious interior with reclining rear seats, advanced mood lighting, and a panoramic “starry sky” moonroof with meteor shower effects. The car also boasts intelligent privacy glass and a unique door-closing function controlled by advanced gesture controls.

The Maextro S800 has already garnered significant interest in China, with over two thousand pre-orders placed in just two days after its launch. This indicates a strong demand for high-end electric vehicles in the Chinese market.

Overall, the Maextro S800 is a testament to the advancements in Chinese electric vehicle technology, offering a blend of luxury, performance, and cutting-edge features. With its sleek design and innovative technology, the S800 is sure to make a statement in the competitive luxury EV market.
