Xiaomi SU7 Ultra Enters Regulatory Filing Catalog, Revealing Core Specs
Xiaomi has recently filed for the production version of the SU7 Ultra, giving us a glimpse into some of its key specifications. The all-electric sedan is set to make its official debut at the upcoming Guangzhou auto show, following its inclusion in China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) catalog for public review.
The filing includes only one version of the SU7 Ultra, which is being manufactured at Xiaomi’s production facility in the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area. The sedan boasts impressive dimensions, measuring 5,070/5,115 mm in length, 1,970 mm in width, and 1,465 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,000 mm.
Compared to the standard SU7 sedan, the SU7 Ultra is larger in size and weight, weighing in at 2,360 kilograms and supporting a top speed of 318 kilometers per hour. The model is powered by Li-ion ternary batteries from CATL, with three in-house manufactured motors delivering peak power outputs of 288 kW, 425 kW, and 425 kW respectively.
Xiaomi announced that the SU7 Ultra began pre-sales in China at a price of RMB 814,900 ($113,890), significantly higher than the regular SU7’s starting price of RMB 215,900. The official launch of the SU7 Ultra is scheduled for March 2025, with its first public appearance set to take place at the Guangzhou auto show starting on November 15.
The regulatory filing process is a crucial step towards the approval of the model for sale in China, allowing the public to provide feedback on the vehicle between November 8 and November 14. This marks the final stage before the SU7 Ultra can hit the market and showcase its cutting-edge features and performance capabilities.
