Xiaomi EV, the electric vehicle division of Chinese tech giant Xiaomi, has unveiled its second model, the YU7. This SUV is set to be officially launched in June or July next year, according to a recent announcement on Weibo.
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in China has released details of the Xiaomi YU7 in its latest batch of approved models. The YU7, with the model number XMA6500LBEVA1, will be produced at Xiaomi EV’s factory in Yizhuang, Beijing. It boasts dimensions of 4,999 mm in length, 1,996 mm in width, and 1,600 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,000 mm. The vehicle weighs 2,405 kilograms and can reach a top speed of 253 kilometers per hour.
The YU7 is equipped with a Li-ion ternary battery from CATL, although the exact capacity has not been disclosed. It features dual electric motors, with the front motor delivering a peak power of 220 kW and the rear motor outputting 288 kW.
Xiaomi EV previously introduced its first model, the SU7, which was launched in March and offered in three versions – Standard, Pro, and Max. Deliveries of the SU7 began earlier this year, with over 100,000 units already delivered as of November. Xiaomi EV has set a new target of delivering 130,000 units by the end of 2024.
