Xiaomi’s SU7 electric sedan has continued to make waves in the market, with total deliveries now surpassing 150,000 units, according to Lei Jun, the founder, chairman, and CEO of the company. This milestone was shared during a live video demonstration showcasing the SU7’s autonomous driving capabilities, highlighting the vehicle’s cutting-edge technology and performance.

The SU7 has been a success story for Xiaomi since its official launch on March 28, 2024. Available in three versions – Standard, Pro, and Max – the sedan has captured the hearts of consumers with its sleek design and innovative features. Deliveries of the SU7 began in April last year, with the Pro version hitting the roads in May. The demand for the SU7 has been so high that wait times for delivery have reached up to 40 weeks, a testament to its popularity in the market.

In a recent development, Xiaomi unveiled a special edition SU7 with a striking red exterior color, set to be available for delivery starting in March. This limited edition color was introduced to commemorate Xiaomi’s 15th anniversary and has been met with great enthusiasm from customers. Priced at RMB 9,000 ($1,230), the red option offers a unique and eye-catching choice for those looking to stand out on the road.

Looking ahead, Xiaomi’s electric vehicle lineup is set to expand with a performance variant of the SU7 and an SUV model in the pipeline. The SU7 Ultra, a high-performance version of the sedan, is currently available for pre-order in China at a premium price of RMB 814,900. The official launch of the SU7 Ultra is scheduled for March 2025, promising even greater performance and features for enthusiasts.

Additionally, Xiaomi recently announced the name of its second EV model, the YU7, with plans for the SUV’s launch expected in June or July 2025. With a focus on innovation and cutting-edge technology, Xiaomi is poised to make a significant impact in the electric vehicle market, building on the success of the SU7 and expanding its offerings to cater to a wider range of customers.

In conclusion, Xiaomi’s SU7 electric sedan continues to impress with its impressive delivery numbers and forward-looking approach to the market. With new models on the horizon and a commitment to pushing the boundaries of electric vehicle technology, Xiaomi is set to make a lasting mark in the automotive industry.
