Xiaomi (HKG: 1810, OTCMKTS: XIACY) is gearing up to launch the SU7 Ultra, an ultra-performance variant of its first electric vehicle (EV) model SU7, with a sales target of 10,000 units in 2025. The SU7 Ultra, priced at about four times the regular SU7 sedan, is set to hit the market on February 27, according to a report by local automotive media outlet Yiche.

Lei Jun, Xiaomi’s founder, chairman, and CEO, initially unveiled the SU7 Ultra at a product launch event on October 29 last year. The model was made available for pre-sale at a price of RMB 814,900 ($111,900). Although the official launch was originally scheduled for March 2025, Lei recently announced in a video on his Red Note account that the SU7 Ultra would be released by the end of February.

Xiaomi aims to deliver 300,000 vehicles in 2025, with the SU7 Ultra being a key contributor to this target. The model received an overwhelming response during its pre-sales phase, with 3,680 pre-orders secured within 10 minutes of the launch. The SU7 Ultra’s price point, significantly higher than that of the regular SU7, reflects its ultra-performance capabilities and advanced features.

The SU7 Ultra boasts impressive specifications, with dimensions measuring 5,070/5,115 mm in length, 1,970 mm in width, and 1,465 mm in height. It features a wheelbase of 3,000 mm and is powered by three electric motors delivering peak power outputs of 288 kW, 425 kW, and 425 kW respectively.

Xiaomi’s foray into the EV market has been met with success, with the SU7 sedan surpassing 135,000 units in deliveries in 2024. The company continues to expand its presence in the electric vehicle sector, with the SU7 Ultra set to make a significant impact in the high-performance EV segment.

The SU7 Ultra show cars have already made their way to Xiaomi EV’s stores in various cities, generating excitement among potential buyers. With its cutting-edge technology, sleek design, and impressive performance capabilities, the SU7 Ultra is poised to redefine the electric vehicle landscape and solidify Xiaomi’s position as a key player in the EV market.

As Xiaomi gears up for the official launch of the SU7 Ultra, anticipation is high among enthusiasts and industry experts alike. With its bold ambitions and commitment to innovation, Xiaomi is set to make a lasting impact on the electric vehicle industry with the SU7 Ultra leading the charge.
