Xiaomi EV, a subsidiary of tech giant Xiaomi, has announced the official launch of the highly anticipated SU7 Ultra on February 27. The event is scheduled to kick off at 7 pm Beijing time, marking a significant milestone for Xiaomi’s foray into the electric vehicle market.

The SU7 Ultra is the ultra-performance variant of Xiaomi’s first electric model, the SU7, which was unveiled back in October last year. With a price tag that is approximately four times higher than the regular SU7, the SU7 Ultra is positioned as a high-end offering aimed at capturing a niche market segment. Xiaomi has set an ambitious sales target of 10,000 units for the SU7 Ultra this year, signaling the company’s confidence in the vehicle’s appeal to consumers.

In addition to the SU7 Ultra, Xiaomi will also be launching the Xiaomi 15 Ultra smartphone at the same event. These two products represent the pinnacle of Xiaomi’s product lineup, with the company’s founder and CEO, Lei Jun, describing them as the most high-end offerings in Xiaomi’s fifteen-year history.

Lei Jun emphasized that the launch of the SU7 Ultra and Xiaomi 15 Ultra marks the beginning of a new era for Xiaomi, signaling the company’s entry into the ultra-high-end market segment. The SU7, Xiaomi’s first electric model, was officially launched in March 2024 and achieved considerable success with over 135,000 units sold last year.

With a sales target of 10,000 units for the SU7 Ultra and an overall EV sales target of 300,000 vehicles for 2025, Xiaomi is poised for significant growth in the electric vehicle market. The company is also expected to launch the YU7 electric SUV in the coming months, further expanding its product portfolio and market reach.

Overall, the launch of the SU7 Ultra represents a major milestone for Xiaomi EV and underscores the company’s commitment to innovation and excellence in the electric vehicle industry. As Xiaomi continues to push boundaries and explore new frontiers, the SU7 Ultra stands as a testament to the company’s dedication to delivering cutting-edge technology and premium products to consumers worldwide.
