Xiaomi’s highly anticipated SUV, the YU7, is generating excitement as new declaration images have been released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Set to debut in June or July of 2025, this mid-to-large electric SUV is expected to have a price range of 300,000 to 400,000 yuan (~US$41,000 – ~US$55,000).
The YU7 showcases Xiaomi’s distinctive design language, featuring bullet-shaped headlights with a multi-lens configuration that gives the vehicle a sharp and focused appearance. The front end includes a large blackened air intake with a unique “tusks” design and side air ducts, adding to its sporty appeal. The side profile reveals a sleek coupe-like silhouette with dynamic lines, an elongated front end, and an overall sporty demeanor reminiscent of a Ferrari.
Moving to the rear of the vehicle, the YU7 continues Xiaomi’s family-style taillights, which create a widened “concave” shape that is easily recognizable. The rear bumper and roof spoiler contribute to the overall sporty aesthetic. With dimensions of 4999mm in length, 1996mm in width, and 1600mm in height, the YU7 boasts a wheelbase of 3000mm.
Under the hood, the YU7 is equipped with a dual-motor setup delivering a maximum combined output ranging from 220kW to 288kW, allowing for a top speed of 253km/h. This powerful performance combined with its sleek design makes the YU7 a compelling option in the electric SUV market.
