Xpeng begins volume deliveries of P7+

Xpeng, a leading Chinese electric vehicle maker, is making waves with its latest offering, the P7+. This new electric sedan has already started volume deliveries in China, just days after its official launch.

The nationwide deliveries of the Xpeng P7+ began on November 11, as announced by the company on Weibo. With vehicles arriving at Xpeng’s delivery centers across the country, customers can expect to receive their orders soon.

The P7+ comes in two regular variants, priced at RMB 186,800 and RMB 198,800 respectively. In addition, there was a limited edition model starting at RMB 218,800, with only 500 units available, which quickly sold out. This streamlined choice of variants and faster delivery speeds reflect Xpeng’s commitment to learning from past experiences.

Xpeng’s previous launch of the G9 SUV in September 2022 offered a wide range of versions, leading to confusion among potential customers. By simplifying the choices for the P7+ and ensuring faster deliveries, Xpeng aims to capitalize on early orders and avoid losing potential sales.

The P7+ has already proven to be a hit for Xpeng, with 31,528 orders placed with non-refundable deposits within the first three hours of its launch. Analysts at Deutsche Bank have raised their monthly sales estimate for the P7+ to 9,000 units, citing the model’s competitive pricing and superior specifications compared to its rivals.

With the successful debut of the P7+, Xpeng is expected to achieve double-digit vehicle gross margins in the future. The company’s cost-saving strategies and focus on delivering high-quality products are likely to drive further success in the electric vehicle market.

Overall, Xpeng’s P7+ is shaping up to be a blockbuster model for the company, following the success of the Mona M03. With a strong focus on customer satisfaction and product excellence, Xpeng is set to make a significant impact in the electric vehicle industry.
